Speaking of triumphant stories, today we share yet another inspiring story of a merchant who thrived with BharatPe by his side. Rajkumar Lodhi is from Raipur and owns Khushi Fancy Store, which sells artificial jewellery. Having studied till the 12th standard, Rajkumar was doing odd jobs since he was in the 8th standard to earn a living. He worked at different places like a store for plastic products, a flower shop, and an electrical store before he opened his current store in 2019.
The idea to start a store was given by Rajkumar's wife, who has only studied till the 7th standard, but still proves to be an integral part of the business. Rajkumar started taking BharatPe's services in the year 2020 when an executive informed him about its payment portfolio and also shared details about the loan offers. After 4- 5 months of starting his store, he took a loan Rs. 40,000 and added more items in the store inventory. He took another loan in 2022 of Rs. 80,000 and a third loan last year. He invested the funds from the two loans to further spruce up his inventory and expand his business. Rajkumar has witnessed an increased profit in his business, and he credits this to BharatPe and how it enabled credit access for him, which may have either not materialized or would . He wants to further expand the store and hopefully have his own shop someday, as this shop is on lease. Rajkumar has recommended BharatPe services to friends and fellow shopkeepers. He advises his fellow aspirants to take risks, continue to pursue their dreams despite discouragements, and never get distracted from chasing their goals.
